The Beauty of Mascara
By Diane Downey of pregnancyornot.com
Mascara has come a long way since the ancient Egyptians wore it. According to Fashion Magazine, one of the mixtures used by the Egyptians consisted of crocodile dung, honey and onion water. Sound appealing? Did you know that back in the 1800's pale lashes were considered a birth defect by some? Women brushed them with extracts of walnut hulls to turn them deep chocolate brown. Thank goodness it is now much easier to make eyelashes stand out! Women all over the world like to draw attention to their eyes by enhancing their lashes with mascara. Mascara darkens, thickens, defines, emphasizes, curls and even lengthens lashes. It can transform bare looking eyes into beautifully intense and sensual looking eyes.
